Aion 2 pet genus

Aion 2 pet genus for global. Five boards. Lock nothing until Insight 10, then fish line 4: Special, Varian, Fera, then Cogni.

Researched by Kanon. Organized and formatted by CoGM.

The findings are his, out of his progression doc, updated September 20, 2026. He did not write these pages and does not maintain them. We split the doc into sections, laid it out and added the headings, and we have not retested any of it. About 1,000 hours on KR, mostly Brawler, under 900,000 combat power. Global numbers can move. Find him on Twitch and YouTube.

Pet genus is five boards of nine lines: Cogni, Fera, Natura, Varian, and Special. Insight, the blue bar, is the genus level. Higher Insight opens more lines and lets those lines roll a higher grade. Analyze, the yellow button, rerolls every line you have not locked. The more locks you have, the more the next roll costs.

The goal he writes is Insight 10 on every board, then fishing the lines. You can store three presets. People use the first preset as a good-enough line 4 and the later presets to chase a higher percent.

How he upgrades a board

  1. Level the board to 10 with nothing locked. Ignore the stats on the way.
  2. Two exceptions. Global is so slow that waiting for 10 is not practical, or you hit a high yellow or orange best-in-slot roll on line 4. A high yellow can beat a low orange. Lock that.
  3. At 10, Analyze with no locks until line 4 is the line you want.
  4. His roll order for line 4 is Special, then Varian, then Fera, then Cogni. Natura is not in that sentence.

Auto Analysis can hunt this. He selects Unique or Heroic Double Chance on lines 3 and 9. Double Chance cannot roll below Unique.

Global lines

This is the list he updated for global. On every board, lines 3, 6, and 9 are Power Shard Bonus unless you are not at the crit or accuracy cap. If you are short of either cap, Crit and Accuracy outrank Power Shard Bonus on those lines.

Same on all five boards
LinesRoll
1 and 5Max Attack, then Attack Bonus
2 and 8HP Increase %
3, 6, and 9Power Shard Bonus, or Crit and Accuracy if you are under the cap
Line 4 and line 7 change by board
BoardLine 4Line 7
CogniCritical Damage Boost, then Damage BoostDamage Tolerance or PvE Damage Tolerance, then Endurance
FeraWeapon Damage Boost, then Damage BoostDamage Tolerance or PvE Damage Tolerance, then Endurance
NaturaMulti-hit or Perfect ChancePvE Damage Tolerance, then Endurance
VarianFront or Back Damage BoostPvE Damage Tolerance, then Endurance
SpecialDouble ChanceDamage Tolerance, then Endurance

Line 4 is the one he fishes first, in this order: Special (Double Chance), Varian (Front or Back Damage Boost), Fera (Weapon Damage Boost), Cogni (Critical Damage Boost). Natura's line 4 is Multi-hit or Perfect. He never places Natura in that order, so it is not added here.

Asia lines, if you are not on global

Kept so the two lists do not get mixed. Do not roll the Asia board on global.

Every board except Special
LinesRoll
1, 4, and 7Boss Attack, then Crit. He calls Crit the least important of these.
3 and 9Double Chance, no substitute. He wants a 2% roll on the endgame preset.
2, 5, and 8Max Attack, then Attack Bonus
6Damage Tolerance

Special, on Asia: lines 3 and 9 are Double Chance, line 6 is Damage Tolerance, and the rest are Max Attack then Attack Bonus.

Owned pet effects

Separate from the five boards. Unlocking and leveling pets grants passive stats. You raise it by killing mobs or by pet rewards from other content. He does not list the per-pet numbers, so none are invented here. Power Shard Bonus shows up on the global lines because shards are a real damage button. The shard percents are on how stats work.
