Monsters & Memories Crafting and Tradeskills Guide

The community wiki lists 37 tradeskills in Monsters & Memories, from Alchemy and Mining to Tanning and Woodworking. The developers have named the crafting stations and combine kits. You find some recipes by experimenting, and the game now shows messages that respond to your guesses. This guide covers what the developers and the wiki confirm as of October 2026, the first week of Early Access.

How crafting fits the game

The developers link tradeskills to factions, player guilds and player housing. Their gameplay page also says solo play counts. When you harvest alone, your work still feeds a larger community goal.

The game itself is built around groups of players who depend on each other. Since tradeskills connect to player guilds as well, it helps to know who in your guild gathers and who crafts.

The tradeskills

The community wiki has a page for each of these 37 skills. Players write the wiki, and the developer does not run or endorse it, so treat this as a working list.

Two notes on the list:

  • Spellcrafting is tagged as not implemented on the wiki.
  • Survival builds campfires. The official new player guide says you need the Survival skill and 8 wood to make one. Resting near a campfire or in an inn gives you a 15% experience bonus. Our leveling guide covers rested experience in full.

Crafting stations and combine kits

The developers' Update 52 (June 2026) named the crafting stations and combine containers in its list of audio work. It is the only official list of them we have found.

Stations: Anvil, Carpentry, Cauldron, Enchanting, Forge, Grilltop, Grinding wheel, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Loom, Sawmill, Stove, Tanning.

Combine containers: Alchemist Bag, Backstrap Loom, Camp Kitchen, Ceramic Mixing Bowl, Dark Alchemist's Bag, Disenchanting Cube, Fletching Kit, Jewelcrafting Kit, Leatherworking Kit, Mixing Bowl, Mortar and Pestle, Poison Making Kit, Pottery Bowl, Tailoring Kit, Tinkering Toolkit, Tome of Enchantment, Trainee Research Tome.

The list does not say which skill uses which station. Where a station or container shares a skill's name, we paired them in the table below. The pairing comes from the names only, not from an official source.

The Anvil, Forge, Cauldron, Grilltop, Stove, Grinding wheel, Loom and Sawmill carry no skill name. None of the sources we read says which skill uses them, whether Blacksmithing, Cooking or another.

Experimental crafting and magic gear

Some recipes are meant to be found by testing combinations. Recent patches changed how this works:

  • Feedback on guesses. Since the Release Patch (0.30.2.1, September 30, 2026), experimental crafting shows messages that respond to what you tried. They help when you are working out a recipe by trial and error.
  • Common gear first. Since 0.30.0.0 (September 19, 2026), the experimental magic crafted gear lines need common crafted gear. Vipers, Drakescale and Umbral are examples. If your guild wants magic crafted pieces, someone has to craft the common gear first.
  • Scrapping. Update 50 (late 2025, during testing) let you scrap gear into metal scraps and bars. Old gear became a source of materials.

Research shows up on the container list too, as the Trainee Research Tome. Research got an early first version in late 2025. In the Early Access patch, most group buffs moved from research to spell vendors.

Gathering, weight and mounts

Mining and ore weight

The wiki lists Mining and Smelting as separate tradeskills, and the official station list includes a Forge and an Anvil. Beyond that, most of what the developers have said about ore is about its weight.

In beta patch 4 (0.23.0.0, April 2026), the developers made ore heavier. They said they wanted players who gather top-tier materials to bring donkeys and mounts. Here is how weight works:

  • Strength raises your carry limit. The wiki puts it at 2 weight per point of Strength (a community figure from the beta).
  • Encumbrance slows you down. An encumbered character moves slower and can't gate or teleport.
  • Buying a mount. The wiki says stablemasters sell horses and donkeys, at 1g 68s or 7g 50s depending on tier (community figures that may have changed).
  • Mounts level up. Since beta patch 4, mounts gain levels as you travel.

As of October 2026 we have not found an official mining guide, node list or skill cap.

Time of day, moons and seasons

The official gameplay page says spawns and foraging depend on the time of day, the day of the week, the lunar cycle and the season. A spot with nothing to gather now may have something later.

Night in the game is dark. Carry a candle, torch or lantern when you gather after sunset.

Foraging

  • The Release Patch made cureberries something Druids and Rangers forage, and it removed the spell that used to summon them.
  • The Ranger deep dive lists Foraging for trail food and cureberries.
  • The wiki lists Forage as a racial ability for Wood Elves and Halflings (as of February 2026, beta).

Class crafting ties

Archers and Rogues make some of their own combat tools. Elementalists conjure everyday supplies with spells.

RogueToxins from venomous animals plus activating agentsSnaring, Weakening and Dulling poisons, 4 tiers each, from level 4
ElementalistSpellsFood, drink, bandages, manastones, elemental weapons and a Ring of Water Breathing
  • Archer. The deep dive ties traps to Tinkering and specialty arrows to Fletching. The wiki says only Archer traps use Tinkering right now (community). See our ranged classes guide.
  • Rogue. Poisons start at level 4. The container list includes a Poison Making Kit, and the wiki lists Poison Making as a tradeskill. See our melee classes guide.
  • Elementalist. The developers planned to cut these conjurations but kept them, and they added the Ring of Water Breathing.

Food, alchemy and mount gear

  • Food. A Hungry or Thirsty character recovers health and mana more slowly, so you need food and drink. Patch 0.30.2.0 (September 25, 2026) added many new food recipes and effects. The Release Patch gave buff food descriptions, so you can read what a dish does.
  • Alchemy. Since 0.30.0.0, alchemy elixirs stay on you through death.
  • Mount gear. Horseshoes and heavy saddles arrived in 0.30.0.0. The wiki says players make saddles with Leatherworking and Blacksmithing. The Release Patch lowered the cost of mount tread recipes.

Selling what you make

Most merchants only buy goods that fit their trade. The official FAQ gives two examples: a cook buys animal parts, and a tailor buys cloth. Shady merchants buy anything, but they pay poorly. Whatever you sell to a merchant becomes part of that merchant's stock.

Consignment comes up in patch notes from June and September 2026. The June patch says you cancel a consignment by handing the item to a customs agent. We have not found an official explanation of how consignment pricing works.

What is not known yet

As of October 2026, we have not found an official source for any of these:

  • skill caps for any tradeskill
  • recipe lists
  • which station or kit each skill uses
  • how consignment pricing works

We will add caps and recipes to this guide when the developers publish them.

Organize your guild's crafters

A game built around groups rewards guilds that know who is out gathering and who needs what. CoGM rosters hold character data, not tradeskill levels. Here is what CoGM does for an M&M guild today:

  • Schedule gathering runs. Create a guild event with a title, a signup limit and role seats.
  • Keep the roster current. Members run /upload in your Discord with a screenshot of their character window (Inventory tab). CoGM reads their level, race, class and deity, plus health, mana, armor class, stats and resists. /update re-reads their stats from a new screenshot or changes their class.
  • Recruit. Applications are free on every plan. The M&M form asks for character name, race, class, level and server.
  • Hand out loot. If your guild uses DKP, read our DKP and loot guide. DKP is part of CoGM Pro. A new M&M guild starts with a 14-day Pro trial (one per community), and you don't need a card.

See everything CoGM does for the game on the Monsters & Memories page.

FAQ

How many tradeskills are there in Monsters & Memories?

The community wiki lists 37 as of October 2026, from Alchemy to Woodworking. One of them, Spellcrafting, is tagged as not implemented. We found no official list, so the count comes from the wiki.

How do I discover recipes?

We have not found an official recipe list as of October 2026. Experimental crafting has you guess at combinations. Since the Release Patch on September 30, the game shows crafting messages that respond to your guesses.

Can I sell crafted items?

Yes. Shady merchants buy anything, though at a low price. Other merchants buy only goods that fit their trade, such as a cook buying animal parts or a tailor buying cloth. You can also consign items for other players to buy, or trade in the zone-wide /auction channel.

Is Spellcrafting in the game?

Not as of October 2026. The community wiki has a page for it but tags it as not implemented.

Do I need a mount to gather ore?

For high-tier gathering, the developers want you to use one. In April 2026, during the beta, they made ore heavier to push players toward donkeys and mounts. Strength raises your carry limit. An encumbered character moves slower and can't gate or teleport.
