Monsters & Memories Guides for Players and Guilds
Monsters & Memories is an indie MMORPG for PC from Niche Worlds Cult, built in Unity. Its low-poly art follows the style of MMORPGs from the late 1990s and early 2000s. It is set on Eth-ur, a classic Western high fantasy world. The gameplay is group-first. You camp monsters in shared zones with no instancing, and the content is tuned for groups of 2 to 6 players. The level cap is 60. As of October 2026 the game costs $15 USD a month per account. There is no box price and there are no microtransactions.

Early Access opened on October 1, 2026, with Module 1: Descent into the Deep. It is the commercial launch, and the servers will not be wiped. We date every Monsters & Memories guide below and check it against official sources.
Start here
Read these in order. They take you from buying the game to your first camp.
- Early Access guide: the price, the six servers, what Module 1 adds and the PC specs.
- Classes: all 18 classes by role, with the races that can play each.
- Races: the nine playable races, their classes and where each one starts.
- Leveling guide: keyword quests, camps, rested XP, group range and what happens when you die.
Class guides
If you have not picked a class yet, start with the 18-class overview. Then read the guide for your role.

| Best solo class and group picks | Which classes solo well and what each one brings to a group |
| Tank classes | Fighter, Shadow Knight, Paladin, Inquisitor |
| Healer classes | Cleric, Druid, Shaman |
| Enchanter and Bard | Enchanter, Bard |
| Pet classes | Beastmaster, Necromancer, Elementalist |

World and systems guides
- Map and zones: the game has no in-game map. The developers count 28 zones, dungeons and mini-dungeons across Szuur, Calafrey and the Deep. This guide lists the named ones, with level ranges reported by players.
- Stats: what the seven stats and the resists do. There is no official stat glossary, so we built it from the patch notes and the class deep dives.
- Crafting: tradeskills, crafting stations, experimental recipes and selling to merchants.
Guides for guild leaders
Monsters & Memories has no raid instances. Fights that need more than one group happen as world events and open-world targets, and everyone on your server can go after the same ones. Agree on your loot rules before your guild's first one.
- Monsters & Memories guild guide: create the guild in game, plan camps and named targets, then pick a loot system.
- What is DKP?: how guilds earn and spend points on loot, and how decay works.
- Loot council vs DKP: who decides, how fast it goes and how much work falls on officers.
Official channels and the community wiki

- Official forums.
- Community Hub: the official FAQ, known issues, patch notes, roadmaps and server metrics.
- Community wiki: players write it on Miraheze. The wiki says Niche Worlds Cult does not maintain or endorse it. Check its numbers against the patch notes.
How we keep these guides current
Every page shows the date we last checked it and lists its sources at the end. Official sources come first: the official site, the FAQ, the patch notes and the class deep dives. We label values that come from the community wiki, and we mark values from the beta because they may have changed. We update pages after patches. The latest patch we checked is 0.30.2.1, the release patch of September 30, 2026.
Run your Monsters & Memories guild on CoGM
CoGM runs your guild from the web and from a Discord bot. For M&M guilds it does this today:
- Events with Camp, Dungeon and Named target presets. Camp and Dungeon events have 6 seats: 1 tank, 1 healer, 1 support and 3 DPS by default. Named target signups have no seat limit.
- Applications, free on every plan. The M&M form asks for character name, race, class, level and server.
- On Pro: DKP with scheduled decay, loot auctions in Discord with open or sealed bids, LFG and the party builder.
CoGM has a Free plan. Pro costs $10 a month per guild. The first Monsters & Memories guild you create starts a 14-day Pro trial, and you do not need a card. See what CoGM does for M&M guilds or follow the M&M setup guide.
FAQ
Is there an official Monsters & Memories wiki?
We have not found one. There is a community wiki on Miraheze. Players write it, and it says Niche Worlds Cult does not maintain or endorse it. For official answers, use the New Player Guide on the official site and the FAQ and patch notes on the Community Hub.
Is Monsters & Memories free to play?
No. As of October 2026 the MMO costs $15 USD a month per account, plus taxes. There is no box price and there are no microtransactions. It runs on PC only, and you install it through the official launcher, not Steam.
How many classes and races are there?
There are 18 classes, and you can play all of them in Early Access. Nine races are playable now: Deep Elves, Deep Gnomes, Dwarves, Gnomes, Goblins, Halflings, Humans, Ogres and Wood Elves. Deep Dwarves, High Elves and Trolls are planned for later modules. The developers say Var'nai will come eventually.
Is there an in-game map?
No, and the developers say they do not plan to add one. You find your way by landmarks and by asking guards for directions. The Sense Heading skill also helps.
