Aion 2 DPS meter: aion2t
CoGM works with the aion2t meter. Install it, turn on sharing and kill a boss. Your legion's officers then see the fight on the legion's Meter page.
What CoGM does with your fights
aion2t is a free Windows overlay that shows live damage in Aion 2. When you turn on the option to share your fights with CoGM in the aion2t meter's settings, each boss fight the meter uploads also comes to CoGM. We match the players in the fight to your legion's roster, and your officers see it on the legion's Meter page.
- Only officers see fights.
- A legion sees a fight only when one of its own roster members is in it.
- Nothing is public on CoGM. We make no public rankings from meter fights.
Set it up
The meter runs on Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, on the same PC as the game.
Install Npcap
The meter reads game traffic through Npcap and will not start without it. Download it from npcap.com and run the installer. Tick Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible Mode. Leave Restrict Npcap driver's access to Administrators only unticked, or the overlay stays empty.
Install the meter
Download the installer from the aion2t meter page and run it. The installer is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may stop it. Press More info, then Run anyway.
Pick your region
Start the meter. On first launch it asks for your region; later you change it in Settings, next to Language. Pick the region your character plays on, the same one your legion is set to on CoGM. Europe in the meter is Central Europe on CoGM. The region is saved with every fight, so a wrong one keeps the fight away from your legion.
Share your fights with CoGM
Turn on the option to share your fights with CoGM in the aion2t meter's settings. Only fights from players who turn it on reach CoGM. You can turn it off again at any time.
Play
Start Aion 2 and enter a dungeon. The overlay fills in on its own. When you kill a boss, the meter uploads the fight. There is no upload button.
You do not need an aion2t account for CoGM. Signing in on aion2t only unlocks its paid panels. Keep the meter up to date; it tells you when a new version is out.
How a fight finds your legion
The fight attaches to you when all of these are true:
- Your character is on the legion roster. Upload your Stat Info first.
- You have signed in to CoGM and joined the legion yourself. A roster entry an officer made for you before you signed in does not count.
- The character's name and class on CoGM are the same as in the game.
- The legion's region and faction are set on its setup page, and they match the fight.
- You are still a member of the legion on CoGM.
Your legion's first fight also tells us which server the legion plays on, so it needs two roster members on the same server. After that, one member in a fight is enough, and players on any other server never match your legion.
If more than one CoGM character matches, we do not guess. We leave that player unattached.
Privacy
CoGM only gets fights from players who turn on sharing in their meter (step 4). A player who leaves it off sends us nothing, but can still be in a fight a party member shares.
We store everything the meter sends with a fight: the boss, the region, when it started, how long it took and whether the boss died. For every player in the party, we store their name, character id, server, level, class, gear score, Combat Power, faction, damage, healing, deaths, skills and buffs. For the player whose meter sent the fight, we also store their build, pet and wing details.
- Your legion's officers see fights with a member of the legion in them. Nobody else on CoGM does.
- We keep each fight exactly as it was sent for 90 days. After that we keep the numbers we read from it and a short record of the fight. A fight we could not read in full keeps its full copy until we fix it. When we remove a fight, it disappears from CoGM, but we keep its raw copy for now.
- We store fights from Korea and Taiwan but do not show them on CoGM until we support those servers.
The whole party is in a fight
To have a fight removed from CoGM, email [email protected] with the boss, the time and your character name.
Questions
Does the meter cost anything?
No. The meter is free. aion2t sells extra panels, and CoGM does not need them.
My fight is not on CoGM. Why?
First check that the option to share your fights with CoGM in the aion2t meter's settings is on and that the meter's region is right. Then go through the list under How a fight finds your legion: your name and class must match the game, and you must have signed in and joined the legion yourself. If it is your legion's first fight, two roster members on the same server have to be in it.
Can I stop my fights coming to CoGM?
Yes. Turn off the option to share your fights with CoGM in the aion2t meter's settings. A party member who has it on can still send a fight with you in it. To have a fight removed from CoGM, see Privacy above.
Is CoGM part of aion2t?
No. A separate team makes aion2t. We only receive the fights its players choose to share with CoGM. For problems with the meter itself, ask the aion2t team.
