WoW Forever

Run a World of Warcraft: Forever guild on CoGM: set it up, claim characters, take raid signups and soft reserves, and keep DKP.

Forever is its own game on CoGM, separate from WoW Classic. For dates and the guild questions people ask most, see the WoW Forever page.

Set up your guild

1

Create the guild

Sign in with Discord, create a community, and add a guild with World of Warcraft: Forever as its game. A new Forever guild starts on a Pro trial automatically, once per community.
2

Faction, region and ruleset

Open the guild's Setup page and pick Alliance or Horde, your region, and your ruleset: Normal, PvP, or Roleplaying. Forever has no realms, and you can only group with players on the same ruleset and faction, so the guild keeps one of each.
3

Raid house

Pick the main raid size (10 for Barrow Deeps or 20 for Hyjal Summit), your raid days, and the loot rule: soft reserve, loot council, or MS > OS. With soft reserves, also pick how many items each raider can reserve, from 1 to 4.
4

Event presets

Add the presets: the nine new Forever dungeons, a Classic 5-man, Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit, Onyxia's Lair, Darkspear Islands, and the Classic battlegrounds. Each preset becomes a template under Activities > Templates. You post events from these templates, and they are the list /attendance offers in Discord.
5

Applications and Discord

Optionally create a Forever application form (name, race, class, and raid nights). Then map your Officer and Member Discord roles and invite the bot so signups post to your server.

Claim characters

Members claim their own characters in the Forever characters section of the guild's Members page. Forever names have a first and a last name, unique per region, so enter both, then the ruleset, faction, race, class, and spec. A character screenshot is optional.

Battle.net has no Forever character API yet, so CoGM cannot verify a claim or read gear from Blizzard.

The CoGM addon is in development

The claim dialog has a paste option for the CoGM in-game addon. It only works once the addon ships, so use the form above for now.

Raid signups and soft reserves

Post raids and dungeons from your presets. Members sign up in Discord or on the dashboard and pick a Tank, Healer, or DPS slot.

On a raid with the soft reserve rule, each raider enters their picks on the event page in the dashboard, up to the number the officers set. Everyone can see the reserve list. Raids on loot council or MS > OS show that rule on the event instead. Soft reserves are on Pro; the loot rule itself is free.

Attendance

For a raid you posted, record attendance on its event page: switch on voice tracking for the event, mark members present, or use Import from Signups.

/attendance in Discord records everyone in the raid's voice channel. An officer in the channel picks one of your templates. If a raid you posted started in the last few hours (or starts within half an hour) and has no attendance yet, the bot asks first: record the channel into that raid, or start a separate session named after the template. Recording into the raid pays its rewards once, and anyone already marked present on it is not paid again. A separate session pays everyone a second time, including the template's DKP reward if it has one. A raid that tracks voice pays its own attendance when tracking ends, so the bot warns you and only offers a separate session. The presets start with no DKP reward, so give a template one under Activities > Templates if you want separate sessions to pay DKP.

DKP

DKP is on Pro. Give an event a DKP reward, and marking attendance on it pays everyone marked present. Officers can award, adjust, or spend points for one member or the whole raid, and every change goes in the ledger. See DKP & Loot.

Decay is an officer action, not a schedule. On the DKP page, pick a percentage and a minimum balance and apply it: every active member above the minimum loses that share of their balance, and the ledger records each cut.

Loot auctions, with regular and blind DKP bids in Discord, are in development.

Free and Pro

Free covers up to 30 members per guild. Pro is $10/mo per guild, with unlimited members. On a WoW guild the raid tools are on Pro: DKP, soft reserves, the party builder, loadouts, and auto-fill. Weekly availability, split raid nights, and the loot rule stay free.

On Free: Roster Management, Events & Scheduling, Attendance Tracking, Audit Log, Role Permissions, Class Composition, Announcements, Absence Management, Gear Tracking.

On Pro: Ask AI, DKP System, Activity Points, Points Decay, Item Database, Wishlists, Guild Treasury, Guild Storage, Party Builder, Loadouts, Applications, Looking For Group.

In development: Loot Auctions, Loot Listings.

The CoGM addon

The CoGM in-game addon is in development. When it ships, it will send characters, gear, and raid attendance from the game to CoGM. Until then, claim characters with the form and record attendance as described in Attendance above.
