Get Your Members In

There are two ways onto your roster. Most guilds use the first one, because members never leave Discord.

1. Sign up from Discord

1.Pick your member role. Open your guild's settings, then Discord, and choose the Discord role your members already have. CoGM does not hand this role out. It only checks who has it.
2.Post an event signup. Schedule an event on the guild dashboard and pick the Discord channel to post it in.
3.Members click to sign up. Anyone with the member role who clicks a signup button is added to the roster on the spot. The first time, they type their character name and pick a class. They do not need to sign in on our site first.

Without a member role, only people already on the roster can sign up from Discord. Everyone else is turned away, so pick the role before you post your first signup.

2. Apply on the web

For players who are not in your Discord yet, or when you want to look at people before they join.

1.Make an application form, then turn on Open Recruitment. The form lives on the guild's Recruitment page under Forms, or on the setup page. Open Recruitment is in your guild's settings, under General. Without a form, players have nothing to fill in.
2.Share your community page. Players sign in with Discord and apply there. The /join command in Discord posts the same link.
3.Approve them. Applications wait on the guild's Recruitment page. Approving one puts the player on the roster.

Good to know

The Free plan has a member limit. When a guild reaches it, new players can't join until you upgrade. See pricing for the current limits.
If you imported a roster, a member who signs up with the same character name takes over their existing row instead of getting a second one.
